Woyanne’s continuous killing and harassment against Ethiopian Muslims should be stopped

OLF Press Release
ADDA BILLISUMMAA OROMOO

The Oromo Liberation front is outraged by woyanne’s harassment and killing of Ethiopian Muslims who gathered to carry out their religious duties on July 13, 2012, in Addis Ababa . The paranoid woyanne’s killing of innocent people because of their free express of their freedom of religion is not only in violation of its constitution, but contrary to fundamental principles enshrined in United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. People’s have the fundamental rights to exercise their freedom of religion without government interference . The woyanne government which imposed itself on
Ethiopian people at gun point always panics when people peacefully gathered to do something because it does not have the mandate to govern the Ethiopian peoples. As a government seized political power by terror, the woyanne minority rule has engaged in terrorizing the Ethiopian Muslims’ in particular, and the Ethiopia people in general to stay in power.

We angrily recall the recent woyyanne federal police massacre at Asassaa, Arsi , Oromia, on the Muslims who were assembled to pray in mosque. The July 13, 2012, massacre in Addis Ababa against Ethiopian Muslims is a continuation of Asassaa’s massacre.

These blatant human rights violation against Ethiopian Muslims in particular and the Ethiopian people in general should be condemned by all peoples of the world .

As long as Woyanne’s minority dictatorial regime controls Ethiopia, one would not expect freedom of religion, freedom of assembly and freedom of press. The solution out of this tyranny is for all Ethiopian people , Muslims , Christians and waaqqefata (believers in Oromo traditional religion)to conduct all round struggle against minority woyyanne regime . The struggle is not only about freedom of religion. It should be a struggle to get rid of woyyanne minority government that has engaged in terrorizing the Ethiopian people to cling in power .

The Oromo Liberation Front believes that for anyone to freely exercise freedom of religion , fundamental change should be happened in Ethiopian. The Ethiopian people irrespective of religions , regions , nations and nationalities, should conduct a unified struggle against woyanne regime. Once the woyanne regime is removed from the shoulders of Ethiopian people, the Ethiopian people will create the country where every religion is respected without the interference of the government on religious matters; where freedom, justice , democracy and rule of law prevail for all Ethiopian peoples.

The Oromo Liberation Front takes this opportunity to call upon all opposition groups to coordinate a unified struggle against woyanne regime and create Ethiopia where its nations, nationalities and peoples live in peace and prosperity.
Also, the Oromo Liberation Front calls upon International Community to condemn woyanne’s interference in freedom of religion of Ethiopian Muslims who have been conducting their religious matters peacefully for centuries.
