The incident took place at the notorious Kilinto concentration camp outside Addis Ababa on Wednesday August 25, 2012.
Kilinto is one of several prisons built during Zenawis’ 21 years fascist rule.

According to the prisoner’s wife Fozia Abdela, the jailed opposition party leader was beaten for refusing to shed tears for Zenawi.

Temesgen Desalegn, editor of Feteh newspaper, faces a number of criminal charges based on articles he has written or published criticizing the government and calling on Ethiopia’s youth to peacefully protest against government repression.
He is the first journalist to be detained since the announcement on Monday of the death of Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, under whose leadership the government regularly targeted critical journalists.
“It’s business as usual in Ethiopia. Temesgen Desalegn has been charged for exercising his right to freedom of expression in advocating for peaceful protests to take place, among other criticisms of the government,” said Claire Beston, Amnesty International’s Ethiopia researcher.
“Meles’ leadership was characterized by cracking down heavily on any dissent and dismantling the independent media, and yesterday’s events show that nothing has changed.”

የቀድሞው ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ሞት ‹‹ድንገተኝነት›› ብዙ ድራማዎችን አስከትሏል፡፡ መጀመሪያ ላይ ብዙዎች ተደሰቱ፣ ማታ ላይ ኢቴቪ ያነጋገራቸው ‹‹አንዳንድ ሰዎች›› የሰውየውን ታላቅ መሪነት ሲዘክሩ ያድናቂዎቻቸው ቁጥር ጨመረ፣ በጣም ማታ ላይ ወ/ሮ አዜብ ‹‹ተቀጣሁ፤ ምን አጥፍቼ ነው?›› በማለት ሙሾ ሲያወርዱ ‹‹የመለስ ታላቅነት›› የተገለፀላቸው ሰዎች ቁጥር በእጥፍ አደገ፡፡ ልብ በሉ በሞታቸው የመጀመሪያ ዕለት ብቻ ሁለት የተለያየ ገጽታ ለመያዝ የበቁት መለስ ዜናዊ ብቻ ናቸው፡፡ ነገርዬው ግን አብሯቸው የኖረ ነው፡፡
ዴሞክራሲያዊ-አምባገነን
መለስ ዴሞክራሲያዊ መንግስት የሚመስል ነገር መስርተዋል፡፡ ‹‹ዴሞክራሲ›› የሚለው ቃል በሚዲያ ተደጋግሞ እንዲነገርም ይፈልጋሉ፤ ያለ እንዲመስል፡፡ በምርጫ ማሸነፍ ያለበት የእርሳቸው ፓርቲ ብቻ እንደሆነ፣ ተቃዋሚ ፓርቲዎች የገዢው ፓርቲ ደጋፊ እንዲሆኑ፣ ጋዜጦችና ጋዜጠኞ ስኬታቸውን ብቻ እንዲያወሩ ይፈልጋሉ፡፡ ነገሩ የተገላቢጦሽ ሲሄድም የሚወስዱትን እርምጃ በ21 ዓመታት አመራራቸው አሳይተውናል፡፡

መለስ ያጠፏቸው የፓርቲው ሰዎች !
በ1984 አ.ም አቶ መለስ ዜናዊ የተወሰኑ የፓርቲውን ቁልፍ ሰዎች ሰብስበው አጠር ያለች ቀጭን ትእዛዝ አስተላለፉ ። እንዲህ ሲሉ “ጓሃፍ ጽረጉለይ” ”እነዚህን ቆሻሾች አስወግዱልኝ” ነበር ያሉት ።በእርግጥም (“ቆሻሻ”) የሚለው ትርጉም አይገልጸውም ።ጓሃፍ ለማየት የምትጠየፈውን አስቀያሚ ቆሻሻ አይነት ሃሳብ ነበር የእርሳቸው ገለጻ ።
